Järvenpään Opisto in English

Järvenpään Opisto is an adult education centre in Uusimaa, Finland. We offer a variety of courses ranging from history and literature to handicrafts and sports, languages and music to art and dance. We also offer courses in Finnish as a foreign language.

Au­tumn and sp­ring terms

The academic year is divided into two terms, autumn term and spring term. The term dates can be found under each course in the course programme. There will be no classes during term breaks. Autumn break is on week 42 and spring break on week 8.

All courses require registration.

Re­gist­ra­tion is bin­ding

As you register, you agree to pay the course fee. When the course is starting, an invoice will be sent as a payment link via email. If you do not pay the course via the link, a paper invoice will be sent by post. The invoice has to be paid by the due date. If you have any questions regarding your invoice, please contact Järvenpää-info immediately after receiving the invoice.

The cancellation fee is 13 €.  We will charge the full course fee if the registration is canceled 7 or less days before the start of the course.

Finnish language courses: Textbook is not included in the course fee.
